Looking for a good upgrade

Hello Community!
I have a question concerning compatible upgrades for my video card.

I am currently running a factory built GA-78LMT-S2 with a AMD Radeon R5 200 series.

A list of viable graphics card would be helpful but I really need is research methods, websites, general information as to what I am looking for when upgrading. I have read some basic PC building guides but I think I am missing some small piece of information that ties all these letter/number combos together to equal output.

After you've familiarized yourself with the basics:

1. Determine what your graphics or pc build GOAL is. What games do you want to play? What resolution of monitor do you want, etc.

2. What is your budget?

3. What is your timeframe?

4. Research the games/applications you want to play/use and the recommended hardware is for each one.

5. Go back to http://www.tomshardware.com/t/builds/ and revisit that info.

Start doing practice builds on paper to see if everything works together and at the right price.

Some retail stores like Micro Center have the all the pc parts you need and in-house experts to advise you.
