Hi, i am currently in the process of building my first computer, i have my mother board (Asrock z77 extreme4) And im planning on getting the Intel I5 4670K. (Is this a good choice?)
When it comes to my GPU i don't have a clue what card would be best for my budget.
I have had my eyes on the EVGA GTX 770 ACX SC but im not sure if that is the best?
Im planning on playing games like BattleField, DayZ Ect.
My budget is somewhere in the region on £250 ($424)

I had my eyes on the same as you before I made my purchase, but because of the price I went with Asus R9 280X Matrix.
The performance is about the same, so get the one that`s cheapest.
For AMD you can look for Asus R9 280X Matrix Platinum or DCII Top, or Sapphire R9 280X Toxic.

You can't fit 4670K inside a Z77 motherboard. It will not fit. You need I5 3000 generation or 2000 generation for that motherboard. Also, hardware in USA is a lot cheaper. So 250 EUR in hardware is around 250-300 USD in hardware (depends on brand, type, supplier, chain of stores, etc). In which country are you? If you give the country, I can guide you to a store.

You can actually get an r9 290 for that price range. you can find good ones around 380-400$. big jump over the 280x too, but that card is also really amazing as well. the 290 will blow away the 770 and they are like 50$ apart.

Hardware is more expensive in Europe than in US due to different taxation. 100 USD of hardware is 100 EUR of hardware most of the times, regardless of the currency difference. 100 USD of hardware is around 80-90 pounds (depends on supplier, store, what hardware exactly and etc). Finding a piece of hardware in US and just converting the price to another currency does not work at all.

As in that example with that Gigabyte 290 on sale - 350 USD is around 205 pounds. But in reality, the cheapest 290 in UK is 280 pounds or 475 USD. The difference in price is almost 40%.

This is very true, as I live in Poland, and for the build in my signature I spent around 1800$, and in the US this would have given me a lot better performance.

That`s why I think Pcro95 should go for the cheapest between these:
EVGA GTX 770 ACX SC
Asus R9 280X Matrix Platinum (three slots)
Asus R9 280X DCII Top (a bit weaker than the Matrix, but also cheaper)
Sapphire R9 280X Toxic.
