For gaming, that CPU will likely bottleneck even a 750Ti in certain games, as minimum frame-rate is usually determined by the CPU.
So unless you want to upgrade the CPU in the near future, I would go with an RX 460 or 750Ti if you are hoping to get around 60 fps at 1080p (with a mix of medium to high settings - depending on the game and its age).
If you wanted to max everything out, well I still would not bother with that particular CPU. Some graphical settings such as shadow quality, draw distance, FOV, certain types of AA, etc. are affected by CPU horsepower rather than GPU.
