I'm looking to make my build more VR-friendly, as I find myself playing more and more inside virtual reality. I just upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 5 3600 just a few days ago and noticed a slight performance increase, but I feel as if it could be better. My current GPU is an MSI GTX 1070 Ti 8gb.

I have a ASUS Prime B350M-A motherboard, 16GB of RAM, and a 750W PSU. Any suggestions that are compatible with this setup?

I would just wait because this year Nvidia will release the new cards and 1070Ti is still not a bad card especially if you play at 1080p. You will pay around 500$+ for a 2070 super for roughly 25% performance increase. I also have a system with 3600 and evga 1070ti and i dont see the reason for upgrade.

What VR headset? Different models run at different native resolutions and refresh rates.

I kind of agree that it might be worth waiting some months for the 30-series cards to launch. That might not be for another half a year or so though, as they haven't actually been announced yet.

How much would you consider spending for a graphics card? Technically any card on the market is likely to be compatible, but you might not want to spend $1000+ for a 2080 Ti, especially if a similar level of performance is available at much lower price point later in the year. : P

The 2070 Super would work great...the 2060 Super will also do well.

His 1070 Ti already offers a roughly similar level of performance as a 2060, aside from the raytracing acceleration, so a 2060 SUPER would only be around 10-15% faster, which wouldn't be worth upgrading to at all. For around $100 more, the 2070 SUPER offers 1080 Ti-like performance, which can provide over 30% higher frame rates than a 1070 Ti in games that are limited by graphics performance, which might be a bit more worth considering.

Depends on the game...in some games the 2060 Super is 40+% faster than the 1070ti...a 2070 Super, as I said above, would obviously work great too but not everyone can or even wants to drop 500$ on a gpu.
