Hello,

I'm in the process of creating a new computer and am looking for a large amount of storage space to store video files, games + music. I want at least 1TB of space.

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on the following.

options:

- 2 x Seagate 500GB SATA-IIi 16MB 7200Rpm Rohs (ST500DM002) £23.75 each
- Samsung 3.5" 1TB 32MB SATA (F3) HDD (HD103SJ) £53.60

It seems strange to me that two 500GB hard drives will be cheaper than a single 1TB one. This would be helpful in terms of reliability I suppose.

Would either of these be suitable to hold my OS and all my programs until I decide to buy a SSD in the future when I can afford it?

The price is concerning me at the moment. As far as I'm aware, they are not advertised as refurbished, but I'm not sure as to the reliability of the seller.

All items on the website are very cheap. (http://www.byhunt.co.uk/tech). I cannot find out a lot about the company on the internet, although on one of their pages it reads "Here at MOCustoms.co.uk, ...". MOCustoms does not review well...
