Hello everyone,
I need some help to decide a monitor to buy. I’ll use it to play mostly (last games: Witcher3, HOTS, BF1, Tomb Raider). I have a GTX 980 that I hope lasts 2 more years. I also hope this monitor lasts a long time.
My ideal monitor would be: 25”, 2K resolution, 1 ms response, ISP, 120Hz, G-Sync and AMD Free-Sync, a 90º rotation and very very cheap. This monitor is just to understand my preferences in order, if it exists it is surely very expensive.
Restrictions: [23,8”-28], no 1080, no ASUS*.
I find G-sync prices f**king insane. G-Sync means 200-300 € more… WTF that looks like a scam to me, also Monitors with Free have Adaptive, but with Gsync is not so common, finally I’m not certain the brand of my next GPU.
¿Can a GTX980 use Adaptive Sync in one AS monitor? If so, ¿there is much difference between AS and GSync? It seems like a good option to buy a FreeSync monitor (200 cheaper), use it with adaptive sync, and in 2 years buy an AMD card.

These are some of the monitors I’ve considered, but any new suggestion is welcome:
Note: Prices are in euros but prices in dollars are correlated. si=yes xD.

*I bought an Asus ROG of ~700€, it came with problems and I had a lot of trouble to get a refund, so I promised myself “NEVER trust ASUS products again”, also to not spent that much.

I have the Dell s2417dg
2560 x 1440p
165 Hz
G Sync
1 ms response
90 degree pivot

Good picture after some color adjustments, this is a TN panel.

Comes in both 23.8" and 27" (S2716dg) versions.

Very thin bezel with a very sturdy stand.

I paid $370 for mine direct from dell a few weeks ago.
I think the 27" goes on sale around $410.
I've also seen this monitor going sub $300 during black Friday.

This monitor has everything you need (besides being an IPS display) at a great cost. Wait for the next sale, and pull the trigger.

or Dell S2716DG for a little more money. This monitor goes on sale sometimes for a little over $400+

There are no monitors with both G-Sync and Freesync.

The minute you put 1ms, it won't be IPS and since 1ms is higher up on your list, the it will have to be TN. The Dell 23.8" above or my 27" are the only ones that fit your bill really.

Thanks guys for the answers. I checked and they are both nice monitors. But they are a bit expensive. I apologize, because prices in Europe are quite different than in $ and I didn't expect that much difference...

The table with 2 additions:

Model---Brand---IPS---Size---Inches---ms--Hz----Pivot---Sync----Cost/link
1- BL2420PT BQ si 23,8 QHD 5 -Hz si no 249
2- GL2706PQ BQ no 27 QHD 1 -Hz si no 319
3- 24UD58-B LG si 23,8 UHD 5 60Hz no free 329
4- GW2765HE BQ si 27 QHD 4 -Hz si no 339
5- U2879VF AOC NO 28 UHD 1 60Hz no free 369
6- AG271QX AOC no 27 QHD 1 144Hz si adaptative/free 469
7- XB271HU Acer no 27 QHD 1 144Hz no Gsync 589
8- XB241YU Acer no 23,8 QHD 1 165Hz si Gsync 499
9- S2417dg Dell no 23,8 QHD 1ms 165Hz si Gsync 551
10- S2716dg Dell no 27 QHD 1ms 165Hz si Gsync 754 (a bit cheaper in amazon)

I'm between those two:
2- GL2706PQ BQ no 27 QHD 1 -Hz si no 319
5- U2879VF AOC NO 28 UHD 1 60Hz no free 369

I don't think I should go with 144/Gsync, is too expensive for just that... Between those two I'm not sure, with 2nd I get UHD, 60Hz and freeSync... Funny thing is I'm not thrilled about UHD because it increases a lot the GPU needed.
