I have $300. I have a PS and an ATX case and WD HDD. Where can I buy a name brand mobo, DDRam, and AMD CPU to access the web using Mandrake Linux? I also need a CDROM burner/player and am not picky on video will even except an onboard Nforce type GPU. I am easy. Thanks.

I say invest in a good mobo like a nf7-s and good memory. Then cheap duron or something. Those duron's can oc like a mad man if you decide to get a bit crazy. 300 you can do it if you skimp 30 bucks on the board and get value ram which is good as well and save even more.
It's very possible, just since i enjoy oc'ing it would be a tad hard.

www.newegg.com go there and price a bit.. they have great prices.

45.5k mark? 85 dollars went a long way. So did that extra 15 dollars for cooling my video card.

This is what I bought minus the cpu at NewEgg.com.Those are also the prices I paid in US $$ ,I only list the store as I have made past purchases and never had a problem . As for the cd burner/rom Sorry I haven't purchased one lately..:<)
Also you may whant to check prices just incase they have changed and I would also ask somebody that has experiance with Mandrake as to how much memory to use as I would reccomend at least 512 Mb memory but thats with win2000.
