I am looking for a laptop to use for a year of studying. I would like it to be able to run simulations in things like MATLAB as well as some CAD software. I am also looking it for it to be able to run Overwatch (not on necessairly on high or even medium, just at 1920x1080 with a decent framerate (lets say ~60 to be safe)
Finally, I'd like it to be able to handle some multi-tasking. For example if I'm running a game or a heavy software (not asking to be able to run both at the same time), I want my computer to be able to handle me opening a ton of chrome tabs (I usually have 20+ open, some are videos) without a problem while I'm playing a game or doing some simulations.
Any suggestions? Both in terms of hardware components required for this as well as actual links to laptops.
I've done a fair amount of research and looked at custom built laptops here (I'm in the UK) and they seem to have better prices in the mid-range than your standard name brand laptops but I haven't really found any good offers from the big brands yet.
