Hi.

I'm looking for a LCD monitor that works at 72-75 Hz minimum at its native resolution. Not someting too large, about 22" maximum.I'd prefer 21 or 19 though.
Philips,Samsung or LG would be appreciated as they're rather easy to find, but other brands are okay too.

Thanks.

DVI and HDMI ports are desigined to operate at 60Hz.

You will need to use a VGA (analog) connection to get anything between 60Hz and 75Hz; assuming the monitor will support those frequencies.

The other option is to get a 120Hz PC monitor (Not a 120Hz HDTV!!) which uses dual DVI connections.

How do I calculate a monitor's working frequency? I see things like "30-83 kHz (H) / 56-75 Hz (V)" and I understand that they're values for horizonital frequency and vertical refresh rate, but what is the operating/working frequency in that case?

When you see an LCD with values like up to 75hz. That means it can potentially do 75hz at a really low resolution like 800x600. While most monitors at native resolution can only do 60hz unless you get a monitor rated for 120hz.
