Looking for a memory kit for my build

I am unsure what memory kit I should use but I am thinking about getting 16 GB of Kingston HyperX Predator. Also if you have any suggestions for other parts please do tell. Thanks a lot.

I'd go 2x8GB (16GB) of GSkill Tridents in prob 1866/2133....if lots of multi-tasking or memory intensive apps, maybe even 2400

I saw somewhere however that G.Skill memory kits are really unstable, is that true?

Been using them almost exclusively for about 6 years now, and no problems, I go through prob 4 or more sets a month between new builds/upgrades and testing. What you see a lot of is people that don't know how to set DRAM up, especially on AMD, that and people that take the bad advice to mix sets of DRAM

Thanks a lot. By the way is Trident X worth getting or should I just stick with Trident

Trident X is the main line out there, there are some of the early Tridents from a few years back, the the Red Trident X is what most all of us simply refer to as Tridents, they have the tall removable fin and as said are red, the early model is primarily a black heatsink, I'm running these on my Z97 and Z87 (32GB sets 2800 and 2666) and may put them on my amd rig in 2400/10, the current Snipers on the AMD are CL 11

Okay thanks a lot. Do you have any suggestions for my build? I am doubtful about my cooling kit as NZXT Kraken X61 is supposedly better.

How high an OC are you looking to? If looking at the H100, I'd consider the CM Nepton

A hyper 212 EVO would do fine up to and at 4.6 and a number of other air coolers, need at least a h100 to beat the air coolers, I'd go the Nepton

I have another question, do you need ram cooling and stuff, I'm really confused about this cooling thing since most commercial coolers seem to be only for cpus
