Hello,
I have been using a mouse that is advertised as 5600 cpi by a reputable company (Razer). I recently purchased another 5600 cpi mouse by another reputable company (Steele Series).
When I plug the new mouse into the same computer with the same configurations it moves across the screen twice as fast.
Here is my configuration, which should give me perfect count to pixel translation
-Windows 7
-1920x1080
-Default Microsoft Mouse Driver (no third party driver has ever been installed)
-EPP disabled
-Pointer Speed 6th tick out of 11
-In game speed 51%
It is worth noting that I have also tried using a 3500 cpi mouse and found that it moves half the speed of my original mouse which was expected. However it was also made by Razer.
I would really like to know what is happening since I can adjust the cpi but I don't know what to set it at now, since the numbers appear to lie.
