My Current Rig - Link goes to PCPartPicker

Approximate Purchase Date: Soon, however, if you feel that I should wait, I will wait.

Budget Range: 1500-2000 Before Rebates / After hipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming
Games I Play on Steam
I am including a link to my steam games profile so you can get a sense of the games I play.

Are you buying a monitor: Maybe, if so, a 27" to replace my 19"

Parts to Upgrade: Completely new build - don't want to take my current system apart, may use it as a stream pc.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 11 Pro; my current rig won't upgrade to 11.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Trusted sites that are good builders with solid parts.

Location: Orlando, FL; if sourced locally (preferred) they need to deliver (I am legally blind and can't drive)

Parts Preferences: My preference is AMD CPU and NVidia for GPU; however, I don't really care, want best bang for my buck.

Overclocking: If done for me cheaply, sure. I'm too scared to do it myself.

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: My 24" is 1920x1080 My 19" is 1440x900

Additional Comments: Don't need any bling like window or LEDs. See my link above for list of games.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My current rig (see top of post for link) is a bit dated (6-7) years and would like to play the games at max graphics without stressing the system so that it can last another 6-7 years.

I am by no means an expert when it comes to replacing a computer. The last system I built with the help of experts here on Toms Hardware, however, I've recently became legally blind and can no longer put them together on my own.

I know the prices are GPUs are absurd right now, so that is why if you feel I should wait, I will wait.

More money for this gpu + psu. The card is factory overclocked, better cooling, runs quieter and the psu is manufactured by Seasonic for Phanteks.

Wow, 2 complete systems and an alternate gpu/psu for both.
They both look really good, have a decent GPU.

Are they easy to put together?
What I mean by this question are the headers to connect the power switch and front panel connections.
I remember they were a bit difficult when I had full vision.

If you don't want to mess with building it, order the components and afterwards call around for local mom & pop PC / laptop repair shops near you and see what they charge to build it for you if you bring them the components. TBH though building it is pretty cut & dry these days.

I see your OLD PC is still kicking. Use it for time being. Let the prices settle more. And then go for a decent build that will last you Long with Least to No Compromises over time.

Currently even if majority of stuff is meaningfully priced the most important component the GPU is still over Priced. Wait a bit longer as prices are slowly coming down.

I was thinking about that. I'm used to seeing top of the line GPUs around 400-500 not the 700-1300 price tags I am finding.

I know it's just a guess, but how long do you think it may be until prices become decent on GPUs?

Yes if you dint have a PC running I would have said otherwise. But as you have your OLD one still in working condition. Use it for few more months. The prices will surely go down in coming few months for one reason or the other.
