Looking for a new cpu Amd

Hi, i have recently notice that in games such as BF4 my CPU has been hitting 100 percent and i get really bad fps so i was thinking in investing in a new one,I currently have
Fx 6100 6 core as my processor
Mobo - m5a87l-m usb3
GPU Gtx 660
and i was lagging upon grenades and the initial gun fire so i have some questions , is it my CPU is there a way i can find out if it is ? And if so for around £120 what kind of replacement should i be looking at (amd). Thanks in advance.

Agreed, and the only way to easily tell is to have task manager open and see what the CPU usage chart looks like after you lag... (IE: open task manager, get to correct tab, play game, notice lag and see if usage is 100%)

If i could stretch the budget a bit is there anything more high end or is that the end of the line for amd 3+ socket ?

the 8350 is slightly faster out of the box, but the 8320 can be OCed to just as fast of a speed for the grand price of about $28 (coolermaster Hyper Evo 212 cpu cooler) the 8350 is $50 more than the 8320

In fact, I'm currently (re)OCing my 8320 and I'm already past 8350 speeds (on a 212 EVO).
