Hello, I want to upgrade my cpu, motherboard, and ram, but I have no idea what is considered good in 2018/2019, which of my current parts would be incompatible with new gen parts, or if I should replace some parts because their lifespan is almost up.
This is my current rig:
Cpu: i5-3570k (I am considering upgrading to the i7-8700k)
Motherboard: AS Rock LGA1155 Z77
Extreme6
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16gb (2x8 GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz
Storage 1:Western Digital cavier 2 TB 3.5 7200 RPM Internal hard drive
Storage 2:Samsung 840 series 120 GB 2.5 SSD
Video Card: Asus GTX 1070 8gb ROG STRIX OC
Power SupplyC Power & Cooling silencer mk II 950W 80 Plus Silver Certified ATX12V/EPS12V
Optical Drive:Lite-On iHOS104-06
Case: Rosewill Blackhawk Full tower
Cooling: Noctua NH-D12 120mm & 140mm SSO Cooler
my budget for the 3 items listed is $700 (not taking into account different parts)
