looking for a new cpu

hello i have a gtx 950, 250 gb ssd, intel pentium g3258, and mother board with an 1150 socket any recommendations on a cpu upgrade whether its amd or intel. I have a pretty good gpu so just having trouble thanks??!!

What budget do you have? And what is your use? My evaluation is gaming, correct me if I'm wrong 😛

Just saying without any budget,the cheapest i5 1150 like 4460 is a good balance between price-perfomance.
Also your gpu is decent but still some modern games will need lower settings-resolution.

If it is only for gaming, I would pick any compatible i5 you can afford.
I5 4460 or i5 4590 would be nice.

You have a socket 1150 board which has great upgrade options. Any Core i3, i5 or i7 4xxx will fit. An i5 is generally the sweet-spot between price and performance but an i7 is faster and would not be a poor choice either. It depends on what you're looking to spend and what your expectations are.
