looking for a new display and would like input

I've built a computer about a year ago, I put in an amd r9 390 graphics but neglected to buy a new monitor... XD ive currently got a gateway hd2200 monitor and I'm not really liking the picture quality, there is blurring in games, some games are too dark and even YouTube videos start look kind of crappy. So I'm looking for monitor recommendations that are great for the price.
