Preferably a 24" 1080p 144hz monitor, I'm used to having brands like acer and Asus, Not had a BenQ before but I've heard good things.

I'm also wondering if I need G-sync or not, I guess I'd like to see both, screens with and withouth G-sync and I guess it'l depend on the price difference.

Thanks in advance

I too am salvating at the idea of getting the X34. The review says it is awesome:

I haven't seen any for sale here in Taiwan yet, but they should be soon. But it'll be around $1000usd + .

BenQ makes some great gaming panels. However, if I wanted 1080p 144Hz I'd just get the Asus one:
Monitor: Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor ($244.51 @ Amazon)
So many purchases/posts/reviews have said good things.

Any kind of date on them? they are interesting enough, I've been put off by acer's 1440p IPS 144hz monitor because of all the cases with dead pixels(in EU) also the hefty price, maybe with this the price will come down a bit

My specs are:

I7-6700k
16GB of 3000mhz DDR4 Ram
Asus maximus hero VIII
EVGA 980gtx Ti

Yea I know I can handle 1440p but I wanted to wait till I saw an IPS @144hz at a more affordable price, or at least a different model than the acer one.

I'll most likely go with the Asus and then use it as my secondary screen when I get an IPS @ 144hz

Yeah. The MG279Q is using the same panel as the XB270HU. However, this one is FreeSync. Wait until Xmas, unless the new GSync panels coming out are also using the same exact panel... The leaked specs does point towards the old panel. And AU Optronics isn't currently making a new panel for 144\1440\IPS, as far as I'm concerned. There will also likely not be a 1080\144\IPS\GSync coming out either. If they price it between the 144\1080\TN panels, then who is going to buy those? There's no room. They really screwed up with the pricing. At best, perhaps the "new" 144\1440\IPS is going to have a higher build quality and quality control than the XB270HU...

I looked it up, just to make sure. They're going to use the same panel as the XB270HU, and the MG279Q, in the PG279Q, that's worrying, and hopefully they won't screw it up once more on the GSync side. Yes the XB is an amazing panel, but the return rate is what, 50%?

I use the AOC G-sync:

Not bad for $400 but I see it on sale for $350 and I was expecting smooth with bad colors because of the TN stuff I've ready about but the colors are amazing/on par or better than other really nice screens I've seen.

DSR allows 4k 144hz (I do 85hz) when the performance is there and the textures really do look a lot better. G-sync makes 65+fps look a lot better than 60hz/fps but if you can get more like 70-100fps everything looks so smooth and connected during all motion.
