Looking for a new graphic card

I need advice for a new graphics card, the thing is I don't want to get a card that could be an overkill for my current monitor resolution which is 1680x1050, also keep in mind that I want to be able to play games released this year at decent FPS. Any suggestions?

RX 560 or GTX 1050 maybe? Assuming the rest of your system can handle games, because you'll need a decent CPU regardless of the resolution
