So I currently have this in my new pc:

-AMD FX-4300
-R9 280 Royalking Club3d
-Crucial 8 GB DDR3-1600 (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU)
-Cooler Master B600
-Sharkoon VG4-W
-Western Digital Blue, 1 TB hard drive
(SATA 600, WD10EZEX)

However the mobo I'm using is quite old because I pulled it out of an older pc, so I'm looking to upgrade because it can't handle my graphics card, whenever the GPU is plugged in it won't start, without it it works like a charm.

I've been looking around for a few mobo's, however I'm afraid that I'm gonna either buy the wrong stuff or spend too much money when I don't need to.

Budget is around a $100, preferable colors are either red or black because that fits the case I'm using, but for now I'd rather just have my pc work fully than having the inside look pretty.

Ok, FX 4300 is an AM3+ processor
And I guess you are overclocking your processor since it is an FX and if it is so you should have no less than a 970 chipset.

I think the the MSI 970 Gaming would be very good choice. It think it has a 6+2 Phase VRM which is also heatsinked which makes it a solid overclocker. It also has you favourite red and black colour scheme. And its available just below a 100$!! :)

If you are talking about the 700W requirement given....
I don't know but the manufacturer always gives a high wattage than required. And budget gamers including me always have a lower wattage psu than that and are running the hardware for years. ( I have not upgraded my computer for about 2 years :( )
If you calculate the wattage of all the components, I don't think it will be more than 500W.

Have a look at this http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2328725/club-270x-suggests-minimum-700w-psu.html
