looking for a new monitor but cant decide to get a 120hz monitor or 21:9 2560x1080

so i have a lg 24 inch monitor 60hz monitor at this moment. after building up a new pc i am getting way over 60 fps on almost every game most of the time hitting around 140fps.

so im wanting to use these frames by making it smoother by getting a 120hz or a more widescreen option.

just wondering what you think will be best, bearing mind i dont want to spend over £300

Human eye can not see over 60hz, thus meaning 120hz screen is useless. Keep your 300$ and buy something else.

I'd go for the higher resolution over the frame rate. Gamers will tell you that 120Hz is noticably "smoother" but in the end, better resolution is usually a better, crisper option between the two. That, and 120Hz monitors are ridiculously overpriced. I'd go with resolution.
