What do you consider a 'gaming' monitor? Do you prefer an IPS panel over TN?

If you are looking for a definitive 'gaming' monitor (144Hz, TN panel with fast response times, Nvidia Lightboost) I would save up an extra $40-60 and get the 24" ASUS VG248QE. The aforementioned features set that panel apart from lower priced 60Hz panels as far as gaming goes. 144Hz provides you with smooth, fluid, blur-free gameplay ideal for fast-paced multiplayer games.

It is $239 at Microcenter if you can find it in stock. $259 on Newegg but is currently out of stock.
