Hi guys, one of my CF390 24" curved monitors died and I was looking into getting a 2k monitor for gaming as I've been hearing how the change from a normal monitor to 2k is "amazing" per se. However, there are lots of choices out there, but I would like some help narrowing down which would perhaps work the best with my current build. I might upgrade my GPU in the future perhaps a 3070 GPU, if you could provide some suggestions for that GPU also that would help me plan out what to do. Thanks~

My computer specs:
OS: Windows 10 Home
Motherboard: AORUS master Z590 Version F8a
CPU: Intel I9-10900KF 3.70Ghz
GPU: Nvidia MSI 1660 Ti 6gb
RAM: Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600
PSU: Seasonic Prime Fanless 700 W 80+ Titanium
SSD: Samsung Evo 870 1TB

A lot of this conversation strings on your budget. For your potential video card upgrade, the RTX 3070 or RTX 3080 are solid choices if you intend to use Nvidia's proprietary features. Just know you will be paying a pretty penny for the brand. If you want more bang for your buck and aren't attached to Nvidia's feature set, the AMD RX 7700 and RX 7800XT are outstanding cards for the money, usually hanging around 450 and 550 dollars, respectively. If you don't care about Ray Tracing, DLSS, or any of Nvidia's other features and are only after rasterized gaming, then go with AMD. Otherwise, stick with your original choice.

For your monitor, again this will heavily depend on how much you are willing to spend. Acer has some excellent products, provided you are okay with buying a refurbished product. The Acer Predator XB3 is a 1440p 27" 165Hz gaming monitor with exceptionally low input lag, fast pixel response time, and some basic HDR support. For $200.00 this is difficult to beat. I have two of these monitors and they work great. If you want something brand new, then this LG Ultragear is a great option. At $400.00 you are getting 1440p, a Nano IPS panel, and 165Hz. If that's a little high for you, the Gigabyte M27Q is a decent mid-range monitor. The stand isn't as good and the panel is not as fast as the LG, but for 350 dollars it's a solid monitor. Hope this helped narrow down your options, take care.

Hi turtle, I forgot to add about my budget my bad. I'm not looking for anything too fancy and I suppose my budget range would be $500 or less in terms of a new monitor. Would you happen to have any recommendations on curved monitors? I enjoyed using my CF390 until it died and would prefer another curved one if you have any suggestions for that. Also thanks for the tips on a GPU, as I've only been sticking with nvidia since my family's oldest computer in the early 2000's used one inside.
