Looking for a new power supply.

Hello. I recently bought a new graphics card just to figure out that my PSU was too bad. I would like some help to find a new one that isnt too expensive but isn't really bad either.

My specs are:

With that graphics card you are looking at needing at least 550W power supply. You did not specify where you will be buying your new PSU so I cant really suggest one to you without seeing if its available where you are. If you have Seasonic or Corsair available in your area, those are the ones I would suggest.

I'm from denmark. And yes i can get Corsairs where i live.

But what Corsairs are good? I was thinking about getting a 600W, but which one should i get? Looks like theres alot of them.

The corsair enthusiast line (begins with TX) is their best line in terms of bang for the buck. I would definitely recommend the 650 watt TX model.

If you can find a Corsair GS600, that would be exactly what you need. If not, see if you can find a Corsair TX650 v2. Either of those will be plenty of power and are both good quality power supplies.

Is the CX good aswell? I need to save some money.

You get what you pay for. The CX is not a bad power supply, but it does not stand out as being very reliable either. Bite the bullet and spend the extra 20 on the TX or GS series power supply.

Does the GS600 have two 6-pin connectors?

C'mon, you can go to corsair.com and look that up yourself. You don't need us to do that for you.

It does, but even if it didnt you can always use a molex to 6pin adapter.

Will the PSU fit into any PC?

any standard atx size PC. ATX is the standard desktop size.

And how do i know if my pc has that size?

do you know the case model? Can you look it up?

Alternatively, you can look at your current power supply. If it says ATX on it, then you have a standard ATX case, and the corsair will fit.

No, i dont know the case model unfortunately. Is there any way to find it out?

And also, what about the GS600 2013 edition? Is it any better than the non-2013 edition?

The changes in the 2013 edition are related to a fan noise problem with the older units. Buy the 2013 edition.

As for the size, did you look at your current power supply to see if it says ATX anywhere on it?

No i didnt look at it i found information on the internet that said it was ATX. Im not too sure about it though since its a site i dont know. But if you can take a look at the power supply that would be great. Its a FSP450-60EMDN.

That FSP unit is an ATX unit. So, no problems there.
