Looking for a new router.

Hello,

I am looking for a new router for my home.
It is a normal size home, with 4 phones, 4 ethernet connected pc's, Xbox 360 and 2-4 laptops. We need Some more range because we have a AirPort extreme and the signal in the Backyard aint good all the time. Also great speed is a must. Our current subscription allows ethernet to around 200 mb/s but whe think about using glas fiber that Will do around 500 up and down. Anyone got an idea?

For the back yard, you should add an outdoor WIFI access point. Trying to find a single router that will blast a signal is not the best answer most times. Multiple access points that both distribute the load and expand the coverage are the best answer.

200Mbit would require an AC connected client. You could get an AC router, but your clients (devices) are probably just N devices. AC1900 routers are the sweet spot in the pricing right now.
