i was thinking of something along these lines how do you think this will hold up?

* POWER SUPPLY Upgrade: 680 Watts Power Supplies (Hush Power Supply SLI/CrossFire Ready)
* CPU: (Quad-Core)Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz 1333FSB 12MB L2 Cache 64-bit
* MOTHERBOARD: Asus P5Q3 Intel P45 Chipset CrossFireX LGA775 FSB1600 DDR3/1600 Mainboard w/GbLAN, USB2.0, IEEE1394a, & 7.1Audio
* MEMORY: 4GB (2GBx2) PC1333 DDR3 PC3 10666 Dual Channel Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)
* VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 1GB 16X PCI Express (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)
* MULTIPLE VIDEO CARD SETTINGS: Non-SLI/CrossFireX Mode Supports Multiple Monitors
* HARD DRIVE: Single Hard Drive (500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD)
* Optical Drive: LG 20X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER (BLACK COLOR)
* SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
* NETWORK: Intel Pro Gigabite 10/100/1000 Network Card
* USB PORT: Built-in USB 2.0 Ports
* OS: Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium w/ Service Pack 1 (64-bit Edition)

The GPU is weak compared to the CPU, and the PSU is questionable ;)
The liquid cooling is probably no better than stock air.
The DDR3 motherboard and RAM is a waste that does not improve performance.
All those prebuilts are like that.

Let me put it this way

Regardless of what you build no system will play all the games at max. A perfect system regardless of price wouldnt play crysis maxed out when it came out. Its subjective. Especially if your running at resolutions 1680 and up

That being said. If your going for budget but want power

I have a 940 phenom2 x4 3.0 ghz
8 gigs of ram ddr2 1066
3x 4850 tri crossfire
dfi lanparty mobo

I recommend a crossfire setup with 4870s roughly 150 a card and slightly less since most offer mail in rebates.

if your an nvidia fan an sli setup utilizing the 260-280 gtx cards will perform identically for roughly the same price
