There is a thread stickied at the top of the forum with a video showing how to build a PC. Or you can just search how to build a PC on Youtube. There are hundreds of tutorials out there that easily show how to do it.

I might suggest this for $500 - you don't necessarily need an FX-6300 for your uses. There's a couple of builds you could go with. First is an i3-6100:
