Hey folks. I recently decided on a new PC desktop and I'm wondering what type of performance I can get. If you could give your best guess on what FPS and graphics settings I can get on Dayz, The Forest, and Planetside 2, etc. it would be appreciated.
Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card

Thanks!

Well, I guess I'd give it a 6/10

If it were mine and I wanted to make adjustments I'd probably either replace the processor and motherboard for a z97 motherboard with an i5-4690K. Or I'd just replace the processor with and FX 8350.

As far as the card goes I'd either leave it alone, as it's still decent, for now. Or I'd add an additional in crossfire as a temporary solution until the R9 3xxX series releases mid next year. But that'd require you upgrading your mobo now to house another card. So I'd probably just sit tight with that card for now.
Performance is going to vary per game, settings and resolution.

Like Planetside for instance will probably yield less noteworthy performance than lots of other titles as you'll be bound to the performance of your processor. Overall a 270X is still a pretty decent card, and can hang in 1080p with both moderate settings and frames.

I like these cards in crossfire if they're the 4GB versions. Well worth the money

Thanks for the review! I have few more questions though. Overall, do you think this is a good system that can handle most games at good settings/fps for the next two years. On a scale of 10, what would my PC be at on average. Also, what component would you recommend I upgrade first? Thanks for helping me out, cheers!
