Hello, I'm a high school student that is interested in a portable gaming laptop that I can use not only for gaming (such as Rainbow Six and Battlefield) but one I can use for web design and coding at home and school.

My current budget is $750 to $1250, but I'll be honest, the lower cost the better (I mean we're not all made of money). I'm definitely interested in a machine that would last and is a bang for its buck though. Possibly something that has a BIOS with actual options (my older laptop did not). If possible I would like to be able to change out inner components if that's possible.

Any help, opinion and advice would be very much appreciated since I'm not as educated as much as I would like to be.

Changing out inner components (besides hard drive and memory) is not going to happen with a laptop.

You can certainly get what you want with your budget.
A lenovo Ideapad 700 or 900 would be on the more portable side. Make sure it has i7 (with a Q at the end) processor and at least a 960 or better NVIDIA graphics chip.
