I'm looking for a program that plays mpg files on the computer which
can send the video to the firewire card to the camera or digital to
analog device then to an external monitor.

This program would be useful after I've created an mpg video file and
want to see the results without writng to a disk first.

Regards Brian

Thanks Funprice.
I tried the program video2tv but it seems to not be able to run the
video. Does this program only work on certain types of video.

It doesn't work with your file? According to the maker it should work
with mpg-files as said on his web-page. What type of file do you have
that won't play with it?

If you have a graphics card with a video out jack, the card's drivers
will do it automatically.

The program is called Video2DV (looks that there is no such program as
Video2tv on that site).
When running the program I click on list
Find an mpg file
Drop the file to the bottom window
Click OK
Finally I Click the play button but nothing happens.

I noticed in the opions-System window there is nothing to select in
the video drop down selection list.

I have checked the program with an mpeg2 encoded video (.mpg) and it
won't run, sorry. It works very well with DivX (.avi) and .wmv amongst
other files but that's not what you were interested in.

When there is nothing to select at the place you've mentioned I
haven't connected anything to the firewire port of my pc, you have?
(Device must be turned on.)
