Hi all. I'm currently helping my daughter in building a PC for her online classes using old parts from my previous builds. Right now I'm trying to identify an adapter for the 12v ATXPWR2 rail.

The PSU cable is an ATX12V (4PIN+4PIN). Can anyone can point me in the right direction in buying the correct adapter?

Hope the image link can help.

Sorry about that. The PSU's cable is an ATX12V (4pin+4pin). However, this motherboard accepts only 2x2. I cannot see any gap in the PSU cable that indicates it can be split in two. Below is the exact model of the unit:

I can see the dividing line right in the picture you posted. Does this cable head not hook together? If it doesn't, you can just use the half that fits; the connectors are keyed so that only the proper ones will fit properly.

There's no such thing as a 2x2 cable. At least not on anything that's not proprietary. It would be helpful to know your motherboard as well.

Your post is a bit unclear. Do you not have the proper 4+4 connector or do you already have the proper 4+4 connector and want to use it in the 4-pin CPU slot?

If you have the proper 4+4 connector already, those connectors are designed that way so that either they can be connected together for an 8-pin CPU connector or just the one half of the 4+4 for a 4-pin CPU connector.

If you don't have the proper 4+4 connector and don't have the cable at all, then it depends on what your PSU is. Modular power supplies are not universal, so you would need to buy a cable that works for your exact PSU. But you did not tell us anything about your PSU, so I can't provide any specific guidance with that.
