Hi, I wanna purchase a new psu for my pc. My current psu fits on top of the case with rear mounted fan. But the psu i wanna buy is corsair cx 430 has top mounted fan and my case has no air vents or grills on the top. So should i upgrade my case too or just install the psu with fan orienting downward that is towards the motherboard?

Hmm USD50...both of these are better than the CX430

XFX550 80+ Bronze - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9

but personally, I'd go with the SeaSonic M12 - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii620bronze - Amazon have if for a cracking price at the moment for USD55 (usually costs USD90-120!! You'll have to wait for stock though. Otherwise the XFX is...
If its top mounted, you install downward (unless you have a vent in the top of the case...unlikely)

What is your budget, plenty of people here can point you to the best PSU for your wallet. Corsair CX is fair, but there's much better options

Thanks for the answer. My budget is around 50$.What can be the alternatives to corsair cx 430?
