I have a prebuilt HP 6200 (core i5 2500) with a gt 710 in it right now and i'm thinking of getting a Sapphire Radeon rx 460. The recommended psu is 400w but mine is 320 w and i am having trouble finding the psu i need. The psu i have right now has a 6 pin mobo connector instead of 20+4 one. https://goo.gl/images/4EY7mN
The mobo is only compatible with a 6 pin connector. I am looking for a 400w psu with a 6 pin connector and i can't find one. Any suggestions?

Thanks in further response :)

First, the GPU you have listed may not be compatible with the HP 6200, either for the MicroTower (MT) or the Small Form Factor (SFF). Both specification pages state a low profile GPU is required, the Sapphire is not low profile.

I did say "may not" as I found this HP link where they list a single slot full profile card as a replacement part (PN 637997-001)

Even if it will take a full height card I suspect the GPU has to be single slot, the Sapphire is a dual slot.

Since you have the 320W PSU I will assume that you have the MT version. For PSU replacement although a 400W is suggested for an RX 460 it is not needed. The RX 460 is a 75W GPU and the i5 2500 is a 95W CPU leaving 150W to power the rest of the system, that should be plenty.

You can get the RX 460 in a low profile, single slot version, here is a link

Well, I actually just found an rx 550 4gb ddr5 for $90 and apparently it's better than an rx 460 2gb ddr5. I think it requires a tiny bit less power than the rx 460. I might just get that instead

Well, it doesn't have any 6-pin connectors and my psu doesn't have any either so I'm not sure about that. That doesn't matter though as it is out of stock anyways. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131732

Just realized you found an RX 550 and not an RX 560. The RX 550 is a 65W GPU and will not require an external connector. Again, not sure about the requirements for either low profile and/or single slot.

FYI, the RX 560 PowerColor GPU in the link has an 8-pin PCI-e power connector. You can see it in this picture at the front corner of the GPU.
