Looking for a quality monitor

I was hoping to get some recommendations for a quality monitor for a future gaming pc.

I have been looking around, but I can't seem to find one that fits my needs. As I said, this is going to be used for a future gaming pc, but I also need a monitor that can properly play the consoles I have now (original xbox, wii, ps2 and 360).

I need something that takes component, being that I have invested in component cables for all of my older systems. Though I have heard that quality monitors handle standard definition rather well.

What I am looking for is -

Accepts component cables, if possible (if you feel this is needed)
2 or 3 ms response time (though if it goes as low as 1ms, all the better)
Takes HDMI
120hz
1080p
Deep blacks, vivid colors and a crisp image (just a quality image, really)

But none seem to have 120hz or take component.

So, yeah, any recommendation would be great. If you have any advice, that is appreciated as well. Like I said, I am not even sure that some of the wants I listed are even necessary.

I think your stumbling point is going to be the component and 120hz requirement and if your budget is large then with the two products I have linked you may be able to get your whole list answered.
The monitor has a 2ms response time and a 2560x1440 resolution (higher than 1080) , 144hz refresh rate and HDMI.
The second link has an adapter for the component to HDMI converter.
The reason for the adapter is because I don't know if your going to find a monitor with all the requirements including the component. Once DVI and HDMI became the standard of video trasnsfer the component went away on the monitors and you only see it now on tv's and recievers.

The cost of the monitor might be pushing it, considering the amount of cash I'll be dropping in the next few weeks for parts.

Might be smart for me to check out a 60hz monitor for the time being and upgrade sometime down the road.

Will definitely keep your recommendation in mind though. Seems it goes highly recommended.

You can easily get a 60hz monitor with all of your requirements except for the component ports.
The ASUS VS278Q-P that you linked would give you all of what your looking for except the 120hz and the component , so if you can do without those then it would be a good choice of monitor. You could pick up that video converter for the components connection.

Probably the route I am going to take.
A 60hz monitor should suit my needs for the time being.

That converter is a definite purchase for me and, as I said, I will keep the monitor you recommended in mind for sometime down the road.
