Looking for a quiet semi-passive PSU, EVGA or Thermaltake?

Hi Im looking for a quiet PSU, does anyone have any advice regarding these 2 options?

The EVGA PSU is a better quality unit. The newer G3 version is usually the same price though so might be worth picking that one up instead.

About the fan, do you know if the fans starts based on the temperature or the psu workload ?

It is controlled by temperature from what I remember. I can't say that I have ever been able to tell when the fan has turned on with mine.

But at low loads, like watching videos they'll stay idle ?

I have the G2 750 and that fan is based on load. Starts at 50%!

50% is around 370 watts of load.
