I am looking forward for an upgrade video card. The GTX465 just died in its service. I want to look around the price ranges of R9 380, GTX 960 and RX 480. I have a Cougar SL500 power supply (500 watts) and a Core i5 2500 and I view my computer at 1600x900. What is the right option or am I missing something better?

Shops I looked through here only have the XFX and the Sapphire version. Which one is better?

I prefer Sapphire as the cooling is generally better. Where are you based?

The RX 480 is $200 for the 4GB model and $230 for the 8GB Model
The GTX 1060 is said to be $200 for the 3GB model and $250 for the 6GB model.

From the "leaked" Nvidia Benchmarks done by Nvidia(so might be slightly biased), the GTX 1060 on average performs 10 to 20% better than the RX 480 in the games they tested.

If you can wait I will suggest you wait for the GTX 1060 to come out for the actual benchmarks. But if it is like the 1070 and 1080, you will probably have to wait a few months for stores to actually get stocks.
