Looking for a smartphone upgrade for my mom.

My mother will be upgrading her phone towards the end of summer and I decided to ask you guys for help, since my knowledge is quite poor,when it comes to modern smartphones. She is currently using the 2015 Samsung Galaxy A5 with 16gb, which has recently had issues with the camera being extremely blurry or not functioning at all.
-She would like to stick with Samsung, although she isnt 100% against changing her phone brand
-She mainly uses it for taking pictures, chatting and writing short E-Mails when not home (nothing too crazy), so most of the high-end smartphones would likely be an overkill.
-The budget is around 300 euros.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I hear Huawei are good, and cheaper than Samsung. P20 pro and other P20 models seem ok. Though I think I heard something about Huawei being banned in USA, may be false.

since you're in europe, getting a second hand oppo/oneplus shouldnt be that hard. if you dont trust them then you could try finding a second hand samsung s7/s8.

Whoops, I actually forgot all about this thread, we ended up purchasing s8, which was slightly over the budget, a couple weeks ago. Thanks to everyone who contributed
