I have an old FX 6100 system and I temporarily want to upgrade it with a gtx 1070. My problem is that the 1070 is a duel slot card and motherboard has one slot between the PCIE and the PCI slot. In the PCI slot is my WiFi card and I cannot get Ethernet to my room. What is a way that I can support the 1070 with 16x speeds? Another problem is my budget. I can get more money over time but the cheapest solution is best. I probably have $30-$40 to solve this problem. My motherboard is the GA-78LMT-S2P rev. 5.x. Thanks for your help!

Solution
You have a choice: Your shiny GPU, or an external, that-not-great-but-doing-the-job USB adapter. Of course, you can upgrade your motherboard / CPU / memory to support your GPU but I doubt you can fit in $40.
