Looking for a specific display adapter.

Hello, I've looked many places but I can't seem to find the specific adapter I need to fit my monitor and graphics card.

I own a VGA cable, and I need to find an adapter to make the VGA fit the DVI port in my graphics card. I think it's a DVI-I port, but I'm not entirely sure. Could someone link me the adapter please?

P.S: I LIVE IN THE UK.

The port on my graphics card is DVI-I, so a DVI-D won't fit in there.

It will, for sure. DVI-I can be used for both DVI-D (digital) and analog, by using an adapter like the one you've pointed to.

But I already have a VGA to DVI-D adapter and that doesn't fit in the DVI-I slot?

Just tried again. I put the DVI-D into the DVI-I slot and the other end into the VGA slot in my monitor. It simply says "No signal" then turns off.

That's something different. The DVI-D connector does fit the DVI-I, but you don't get a signal for VGA, which is normal, as DVI-D doesn't carry analog signal.. Try a DVI-D to DVI-D cable. It will work.

I've used the VGA cable from my laptop into my monitor (VGA to VGA), but because my graphics card only takes DVI or HDMI, I bought a DVI-D adapter which isn't working, and a DVI-I adapter is coming later on because I thought the DVI-D didn't work with the DVI-I slot. Am I going to have to buy the DVI-D to DVI-D cable or will the VGA to DVI-I adapter work?
