I'm looking for a tablet and since I have an android phone, I would like to stay on the same platform. My GF has an ipad so if I feel the desire to use a Mac, there is that. Maybe some day I can convince work to get me a windows tablet to carry around so I can do things like account unlocks and resets with ease while on the floor. Back on topic, I'm interested in an android tablet. I would end up using it mostly for watching Netflix or playing Hearthstone. In bed or next to the tv I'll have a charger but battery life is something I'd like to get more than 1 hour of juice out of. Obviously cheap is awesome (yay not spending all my money) but $300 is probably my current cap at the moment.

Best Buy currently has the Tab Pro 8.4 on sale, and that's the starting point I really have. My phone is Samsung so I'm not afraid to use their products, but there's a lot of other options out there (as well as newer than 1.5 years old). Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Would the Tab Pro be a good deal or should I be looking for something else even if it costs a little more? Thanks guys!

I'm not certain about other models of the nexus, but Cnets' review of the Nexus 9 said there's no microSD. Since it would be for streaming movies and a few games (that may be larger games like Hearthstone) I figured that was a large short coming.

Streaming won't effect storage, unless you mean like having them on the device then playing(which is not streaming). And Games take up at most like 1GB each not to mention there are several ways to up storage for tablets like Wireless HDDs and I think I saw a microUSB thumbdrive that was android compatible and had like 64GB of storage.

Edit: also the Ipad mini 2 16GB can be had on B&H photo for like 298.00 ( I know this because I plan on getting one in the next few months. Seems you and I are in similar boats my friend.)
