I plan to get the Nanoxia Deep Silence 5 PC Case, but I don't want the hassle of dealing with the tooled drive bays. I keep looking around for 2.5 and 3.5 tool less bays, but all I keep finding are things that accept 2.5 drives and turn the size into a 3.5 bay, or a 3.5 to an external 5.25 bay.

That is not what I am looking for. Is there anything that keeps the respective formats of the 2.5 and 3.5 drives, are tool-less, and can be easily mounted into a pc case?

Thanks in advance!

tooless bays are part of the case features you buy as part of the case there not just add on ? if your case is manufactured with tool less bays all the hardware for that case to do so is included if not a tool less design then you using screws

looking at this rev''B'' its toolless ?

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Nanoxia/Deep_Silence_5_RevB/5.html

just attach the tray thing bracket to a drive and it slides and locks in the bays

the The SSD cage is not tool less and requires ccrews . that looks to be the only ''drive'' that's not tooless

I assume if you lost or broken any of the ''tool less'' hardware you order the replacement parts from the manufactures part dept. [if they even got one ? ]

like corsair...

I thank you for your time and answering this so quickly. I did not see any images of the 3.5 bays occupied so I didn't know if they were or were not tool-less. That is a bit of a relief. However, seeing as I do indeed have at least one SSD to plug in, I'll have to manage with screws unless I can find an adapter that would work for the ssd without screws and for the 3.5 bay without tools. That should be an easier task.

Either that or I could just deal with the tools and work with the ssds that way. I don't know, maybe I'm just over-obsessing on it.

Anyway, thank you!

???? maybe able to use the ssd 3.5 adaptor and then use the tooless mounts on it in a 3.5 bay ? thig is how many times after you mount a hard drive do you really need to take it out and in ???

me , I don't guess I ever removed a hard drive unless it went bad or something ? like once in the life of a build ??? then it just 4 little screws , whats that take 2 min to remove them

The point, really is that I don't like having to fiddle with screws. I can be clumsy, I have animals and kids that would ensure I go on a treasure hunt for the fiddly little things. And the less screws I have to contend with in general, the less frustrating my life will be.
