Just purchased an HP Omen 24.5 inch display from Bestbuy, and I found out that it doesn't natively support 144 HZ. The option results in frame skips, and the 1MS response time causes ghosting. Any recommendations for someone that plays fast paced games like Overwatch and Counter Strike at a high level. I am returning the HP Omen display ASAP.

Solution
Not sure about the "1ms" response time, it's usually just marketing rubbish. I do have this Acer monitor which does 144Hz and is pretty decent:

You do have to be careful with the "Overdrive" mode since it can cause ghosting at high settings (I usually leave it on medium), but is a solid choice. There is also the 240Hz version of this monitor (Acer KG251Q) if that's more your thing.

I have seen that HP Omen and it does in fact has a 144Hz refresh rate @ 1080p.
Are you using the DisplayPort?
If you are using HDMI cable it might not support 144Hz
Where did you find out that does not "natively supports 144Hz."?

Could you post your system components.
Which resolution are you using?
