Looking for advice on a good Tough Tablet purchase?

Hi Everyone,

I am in the market for a tough tablet, one which can resist considerable 'physical punishment'. The specifications for the tablet are as follows -

• 
  i5 Processor
  4 Gigs of RAM
  32 Gig SSD
  1024 x 768 (min res)
  Wireless Connectivity
  3G/4G Connectivity (desirable but not essential)
  Front and Back Cameras (min 3 Megapixel)
  GPS Sensor
  RFID (desirable, but not essential)

Another option is to purchase a appropriate tablet, and a very good case which is rated for 'serious ware and tare'.

Any opinions or suggestions on good purchases will be greatly appreciated.

Is there a price limit or prefered OS?

The tablet must run either Windows 7 or 8, with a preferred upper price limit of $2K.

First 2 that came into mind. Panasonic ToughBook laptops are used by the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) to my knowledge, so I'd check this out.

Im not aware of the specs of the Windows surface pro tablets but you should check those out i think.
