Looking for advice [on buying a PC] please.

My sons want a Gaming PC. I have no Idea. I'm looking at this in PC world. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/pc-specialist-vortex-spyro-1700-gaming-pc-10164401-pdt.html is this OK? Can I get a better one for the same money or is it worth shopping at PC world for someone who knows little about computers because I can take it back to them if it goes wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

Waste of money. Check return policy of the website. You need to purchase a protection plan to do so. Build your own with your kid will be cheaper and fun. I recommend you read some pc rig 101 and consult some friends who know PC It is not that hard, we can help you select parts.

That PC is WAY overpriced, I mean come on! 550W PSU? You're paying 1600 dollars. Look up a build guide on youtube and you can have some fun building a cheaper, better PC with your kids! Building PCs is not too tricky anymore... and you can pick out parts that meet your needs. What games do they play?
