Looking for advice on Smartphone Antenna to boost signal for phone calls at home. We live in an area without much cell phone signal. We get one bar inside the house, sometimes, and maybe two outside. Have looked at cell phone antennas ranging from the universal stick on your cell phone type to carrier specific ones that cost $300. We have iPhones, 4S and 5S. My wife has Consumer Cellular and I have T-Mobile.

Are you looking for specifically in-home use? Where are you experiencing the signal problems, and where is the closest place you regain signal?
T-mobile will provide a booster for your home free of charge. My home is a cellphone signal killer, I get perfect 4G as soon as I walk outside, but nothing inside.... when the booster arrived I placed it in a window and got perfect 4G throughout the house.

Give T-mobile a call and tell them about the horrible service you get in your home, and they will send you a Signal booster and booster bridge free of charge.

Yes, just at home. We may go to Consumer Cellular who use AT& T and T- Mobile towers. The free signal boosters are only good as long as you have T-Mobile. If you keep them after that you have to buy them. Might get the free T-Mobile booster, see how it works and if the price is right, buy them. Right now I need advice on the two I am looking at.

Thanks

I am really surprised no one here seems to know much about cell phone signal boosters. Usually good advice shows up here within hours from very knowledgeable people. My guess is the need for signal boosters is limited so not many people have experience with them. Thanks for the suggestions though.

try not to use cases as they will block your antenna and second try complaining to your service providers or you can jailbreak your iphones and get a tweak to boost your antenna strength via the app signalbooster .

You did not read what those do.

They will not boost your signal if you have a poor one in your area, those are only for inside buildings where construction prevents good reception, like in a basmement. You hook up that device and it will grab the signal and re-transmit it to inside. It will not make a bad signal better.

"So you can take advantage of a reliable outside signal to boost indoor performance"

If you have a decent signal outside but weak inside, then those antennas will help. If you have a bad signal outside, they won't.

is this for home or office use. most network providers have specific signal booster. Best you inquire from your provider
