Hi, I'm currently thinking of upgrading my pc to help me get a better gaming performance. I'll post my specs below and let me know what u guys think I should upgrade!

Processor: amd fx 8350 (stock)
Mobo: gigabyte 970a d3p
Gpu: Asus gtx 780 directcu II 3RD
PSU: antec hcp 850w
Ssd: Samsung EVO 256gb
Hdd: 1tb Seagate
Ram: 4x2 gb 12800/1600 Kingston

The shop I bought from also added 3 fans around my.casing to regulate heat. I do not overclock anything because I'm noob haha and hence the heat seems to be fine.

The upgrade I have in mind is to change it to a i7 4770k with a mobo that supports sli and in future maybe sli it.

Pls advice! Thanks

Well the only possible upgrade for you is going the I7 way. If you have money to spend, you might also want to consider going the LGA 2011 way. Sure, it's a waste of money by today's game standards, but who knows about tomorrow. Also, I always recommend going with the I7 4930k for 780/780TI SLI or 290/290X Crossfire. If you are giving 1000/1500 in GPUs, make sure no CPU is holding them down. And maybe 16 GB RAM just for the sake of it.

I have some problems in guild wars 2 when there is a lot of people. Also I feel that somehow my processing speed I.e startup and tabbing between games isn't as fast as my friends who are using Intel i7.

not one damn thing.

Not really. Are your games installed on the SSD? An i7 over an 8350 will really make no difference.

in some games will make , up to 44% .and more

Please show me a benchmark where a game gets 44% more frames with an i7 over an 8350....good luck.

See Skyrim !!!

The point is, these games are not hard to max so measuring this is pointless. An 8350 will max ALL THOSE GAMES easily.

FX 8350 is a marketing trick ................

No...it is not. I'm sorry. I believe you are misinformed. The 8350 is a VERY capable CPU and IT WILL MAX all those games. Even an fx6300 will max skyrim with no problems.

You are misinformed .it is obvious . Yes. FX 8350 is not bad , but i7 4770 is great . All shows i7 4770 is 30% faster than FX 8350 on average !!!!!!!

You don't even know what that 30% means. IT DOES NOT MEAN FASTER. It means that it was able to process 30% more data. But the point is moot because an 8350 can max all games. What good is 30% on top of already maxxed games? This is what you are failing to comprehend. 30% means nothing.

An 8350 will max ANY game. An 8350 when it boils down IS NOT 30% worse than an i7.

Some guys sli 2 or 3 GTX 780 Ti , your FX 8350 will be toooooo weak for that .

Hi, as it looks like you're using your PC for games, you should know that there is not much of a difference in games performance between the 8350 and the 4770k while using a GPU.

I really suggest going in one of this tow ways:
* Wait till the end half of this year because most likely a new generation CPU 's will come out so you can buy it, my guess is that they will be heading towards gaming performance much more then the Haswell gen'
* You might consider getting a 990FX motherboard with SLI compatibility (like the Asus SABERTOOTH series) and actually OC your CPU (it's really easy) please take a look:

Enjoy!

AMAZING!! Someone with only 50 best answers known exactly what they are talking about.

Listen to this guy.

FX 8350 bottlenecks HD 7970 by 5-6% sometimes . Dont praise this FX 8350 .

Something interesting

Show me the ENGLISH statistic. FOR A GAME, NOT a burn test or synthetic benchmark. You can prove ANYTHING with synthetic benchmarks. I can get my i5 to bottleneck a single 660ti with the right benchmark. but in reality I could SLI two 660ti's on my i5 and have ZERO bottlenecks in games.

Just wanted to reply to all Intel fanboys here.. No one is underestimating the Intel performance but as you can see in my post above that a 350$ CPU isn't worth the extra 150$ vs the 199$ FX 8350 due to the similar gaming experience..
So if you have no budget limits then go for an 4770k, but If you are like the rest of us just read my post above and watch the videos.

Thanks

if the budget is a factor , i d prefer i5 4670 to FX 8350 .
