trying to upgrade to a decently priced 8gb memory for gaming wanted some input from proffesionals

8 GB gaming memory under 55$ is little bit difficult. Do you want a new 4 GB to make a total of 8 GB memory or want a new 8 GB?

well my memory is to old to have a chance of getting a new one and as of now it is not for sale theo nly ones for sale are a newer brand of my model

As you want to use it for gaming and if you can stretch your budget little more then I would recommend you to get two sticks of 4 GB because it will enable the dual channel memory mode, that doubles the original memory bandwidth. ....

Ya, it will be compatible with your current ram and you can enable the dual channel memory mode. Now you have 4 sticks of ram and you can overclock it to 2133 mhz in bios......
