Hello, it's me again, "the guy with s478". 😀

I'm fixing my uncle's PC. The problem is, that its CPU, Athlon 64 X2 6000+ is overheating (idle at ~45C, crashes at ~63C), there were Win7 x64, but he had 2GB of ram. I installed new Win7, but now x86. Didn't helped that much. I decided, that's the CPU. So, what would be a good CPU (don't need hexa, quad would be good, maybe?)? He plays a lot of new games, watches movies. PC is on, for about 24/7.

"Uncle's PC" specs:
ASrock N68C-GS FX
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (no OC) with stock AMD heatsink
2GB of DDR2 RAM
Asus GT640-2GD3
450W PSU.

There are 2x1GB ADATA DDR2 800 DIMM's

I swapped the CPU and replaced it with used 4200+. BUT, mobo somehow gone wrong. Yesterday it started very well, but now it wont even start. Its chipset heatsink IS MOVING! I don't know what to do. I don't want to buy a new one because it's 1-2 months old.. Help me..

The whole problem was, because I didn't installed the memory! *facepalm*
