So far I only know of 2 boards that have 2 internal headers, one is the current LGA 775 board I have now but only supports up to pentium D 960 while the other is some gigabyte board thats on the LGA 1150 socket which will not work for my needs.
Does anybody out there know of another board that has 2 firewire headers on the motherboard itself on the LGA 775 socket that can accept core 2 quads? Thanks!

Why just not get Firewire adapter card (PCI or PCIE) ?
I'd rather not, those are getting hard to find with a internal header that's not shared or finicky let alone getting what you actually paid for, I already tried this route and bought one only to be sent a different useless product entirely. Only motherboard recommendations please thank you.

It seems like it gigabyte has come to the rescue this board has all the features I've been looking for and it only took over 48 hours to finally find it on my own, it also had to be Micro ATX. The 965 gm-s2 seems to be a good replacement. It doesn't support the new core2 quads but it can support a q6700 which is good enough.

Actually for future reference the GA-G33M-DS2R seems to be the best board as it supports all latest core 2 quads

I have an intel dg965ry that has a firewire port and a firewire header. I don't think its available nowadays. I use a q6700 overclocked to 3.1 ghz. It's a 13 year old mbd.
