So, as mentioned, I'm looking for gaming PC for around £500 or under.

I'd like something along the lines of an i5 CPU, GeForce GTX 780 Ti GPU and 8gb RAM.

Just wondering if anyone knows a Gaming PC that has those components, or better, for a reasonable price. (£600 Maximum.)

I understand that £600 is not much for a Gaming PC, but I'm just asking if anyone knows a good deal somewhere, (Seeing as it was just Black Friday) or if they can share where they got theirs from.

Thanks.

Solution
For 600 pounds, you are never gonna find an i5 + GTX 780 Ti PC anywhere especially pre-built. You can try Craigslist but I doubt you will find anything like that for that cheap.

If you really want to save money, building your own PC is your best bet.

Nope. Nothing yet. Was looking on 'Build your own' websites but I assume they throw in an extra £200 charge for them to build it for you.

I was trying to avoid building it myself. Never done it before and just so worried that I'd break something or misplace it.

Thanks ^-^

Yeah, knew it would be difficult but there are a few around here and there. Might consider a slightly weaker GPU...

Thanks ^-^

Do you have a monitor, keyboard and mouse?

I customised a bit of a nice PC but came to £680...:

Or could I buy this:

And purchase a stronger GPU and spend £100 on Windows 10?

This also looks promising:

Nevertheless, I'd still upgrade the GPU.

ALSO GOOD!!!! SO HARD TO DECIDE.

I have a mouse and headset. That's all. With christmas coming up soon, I'm hoping a relative can grab me a cheap monitor.

well this is everything you need including windows. all you'd need is a monitor and a keyboard. may also need a couple 120mm fans to go in the front. case comes with just 1 preinstalled fan on the exhaust

Bit of money could be saved by cutting out the ssd but once you go ssd you never want to go back.
There's a few cheaper motherboards
Could again save a bit more money by going last gen haswell and getting ddr3 ram

I dont think it would make much difference. the cheapest i5 6400 is £140 and is clocked at 2.7 where as the i3 6100 is clocked at 3.7 ghz which would probably make it faster in most games.

here's a comparrison https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSU0UWFCa1Y
Bear in mind that they're using an overclocked titan x to push the cpu's. a 960 would have less impact on performance differences

Ah, I see. Looks like only +10 Frames at least. Thanks for all your help. Maybe I'll just buy an i7 when I become a millionaire :)

Hey, guys. I just wanted to say that buying a 4GB version of GTX 960 is a waste of money. Due to GTX 960's 128-bit bus, it cannot properly utilize more than 2GB of VRAM thus making the other 2GB unusable in the 4GB version. Save some money and buy the 2GB version, the 4GB is not better at all.

having more vram does help where it can use it and games are going to probably require more vram over the next few years

Yes, that graph clearly shows an EVGA GTX 960 compared to an ASUS Strix GTX 960, of course I see that.

Assasin's Creed is the only game that can push that far, just so you know. The new Witcher 3 can't even do that. Assasin's Creed is the only small exception but other than that, the 4GB version is a waste.

for now......

Just remember Crysis 2 and 3. OMG EVERYONE TAKE THE 8-CORES THEY ARE BETTER THAN INTEL JUNK OMG

Remember that panic? Yeah, Assasin's Creed does a similar thing here with VRAM at 1080p but people don't give a shit - nobody plays Assasin's Creed except few.

Thanks for that chat-explosion, but I think I'll go with Krypt :) I don't really want to buy something which I need to replace in a year. Worth the money, I guess. :3
