Looking for an upgrade.

Solution

I agree, when I said "a new pc" I only thought about a custom built: customization and maximum satisfaction when using the pc. Forget about prebuilds. I can suggest a good build given a reasonable budget. Also, describe your use case for this new pc.
hmm, my gamer heart and mind is begging for you to custom build yourself a beast, but not everyone had a £1400 or so lying around 😀.
i would say, upgrade to a gtx 1050/60/70/80, depending on how much you want to spend. your system shouldn't be too bottle necked by your CPU.
you will need a bigger power supply to go with that though. i would say 650 watts. however be careful as some pre-built machines(motherboards) don't work with newer/different graphics cards, so it might be the case that you will have to upgrade the motherboard as well.

Blackbird is right, that power supply will not run any video cards. Also... omg. That computer... wtf. 10-base-T NIC?

What, are we in the 90s? I just can't imagine HP selling such a shit box... nvm I guess I can.

I would not put ANY money in to this box. I'm sorry. Save your money for a cheap gaming machine for around $500 and it will be a million times better than this.

What new one would you recommend?

To get the most for your money , build one.

If you have a budget people will suggest some nice setups.

Then document yourself! It's not that difficult really (more like an easy puzzle for adults) I was a rookie when I built my fisrt pc not so long ago. Look for a couple of guides and learn about the choice of components.
